SPAN101 Elementary Spanish I

Course Description: Designed for students with little or no background in the Spanish language. SPAN 101 focuses on the acquisition of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills within a cultural framework. Weekly laboratory attendance and assignments required.

Note: Students may not take both Span 101 and 105.

Prerequisite: The instructor reserves the right to place you in the appropriate course level.

Professor Chouinard was born in Mexico and was raised in both Mexico and Spain. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and her M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She currently resides in the Boston area and is committed to teaching adolescents and adults Spanish. Professor Chouinard has enthusiastically embraced teaching Spanish 101 Online as a supplement to her face-to-face teaching.
