Plein Air Painting
July 13-26, 2008Nantucket Light 08 will be an intensive, in–depth painting experience that will use the Plein Air painting approach as a jumping–off point to the summer landscape.
Coastal Ecology
June 22-July 5, 2008This marine biology course serves as an introduction to field research methods and will familiarize students with the flora and fauna of the unique island of Nantucket.
Marine and Coastal Ecological Research
August 17-30, 2008Supervised research on the adaptations and interactions of organisms of the beaches, salt marshes, sand dunes, and embayments of Nantucket.
GPS & GIS - Field Methods and Data Integration
July 27-August 15, 2008We will study the concept and principles of GPS technology, acquire skills using Trimble GeoXH Explorer GPS units, examine post processing data correction methods, and learn how to integrate the GPS data into ESRI ArcMap using TerraSync and Pathfinder software.
The Adult as Learner
August 3-9, 2008Students are introduced to the body of knowledge concerning adults as learners.
Communication Theory for Organizations
August 10-16, 2008This course focuses on the study of communication as applied to instructional technology, and on theories of media communication.
